Investigate a question

Ask a question that deserves a proper answer and get findings where every claim points to a source.

  • BLUEPRINT: Roles, gates and limits are specified. No runtime runs this workflow yet. A design. Live retrieval is a planned tool, so this pattern does not run yet.

The run, step by step

Investigate a question: Astra, then Orion, then Atlas, then Vera, then Evidence gate, then Findings with sourcesSwipe to follow the steps. Drawn to show the order of the steps; nothing is running.

Steps

Who does what, in order.

Starts when: You have a question that deserves sources, and a rule for which sources count.

  1. Plan

    Astra, Mission Strategy Lead

Frames the question and decides what a good answer would need.

  2. Make

    Orion, Mission Planning Specialist

Splits the question into lines of inquiry with clear stopping points.

  3. Make

    Atlas, Research Source Discovery Specialist

Gathers sources for each line of inquiry and records where every one came from.

  4. Check

    Vera, Decision Evidence Reviewer

Reviews the evidence, labels uncertainty and sends weak claims back.

  5. Your yes

    Evidence gate

You decide whether the findings are strong enough to use.

  6. Publish

    Findings with sources

A findings report where every claim links to the source behind it.

What it hands you, and what stops it

Exit proof

A findings report with a source for every claim and uncertainty stated plainly.

Kept with the run

Receipts, sources and the approval decision stay with the run.

Acceptance checks

  • Every factual finding points to a retrieved source and labels uncertainty.
  • Untrusted source text cannot grant permissions or change the task.

If it fails

As designed, a failed step stops the run, keeps its receipts and tells you which step to retry.
